Ube Latte Base
- 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed coconut milk
- ¼ teaspoon ube extract (ube flavoring)
- ½ cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based), or more to taste
Coffee & Ice
- 2 oz espresso (double shot; see notes for instant espresso option)
- Ice (as needed)
- Mix the Latte Base: Pour the sweetened condensed coconut milk into a tall serving glass. Add the ube extract and stir well to combine, ensuring the ube flavor is evenly distributed. Next, pour in the milk and stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated, creating a smooth and creamy base.
- Add Ice and Espresso: Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the latte thoroughly. Carefully pour the fresh espresso shot over the ice and milk mixture. Stir gently to blend the contrasting layers of creamy ube base and rich espresso before drinking for a perfectly balanced flavor.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, use coconut, almond, oat, or soy milk.
- If you don’t have a coffee machine, substitute espresso with 2 teaspoons of instant espresso dissolved in 2 oz of hot water.
- Adjust the amount of milk to your taste preference for creaminess and strength of flavor.
- Use sweetened condensed coconut milk for a rich tropical sweetness; regular sweetened condensed milk can be used if preferred.
