Hot Honey Infused Feta Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish combining juicy seared chicken breasts with a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze, topped with creamy crumbled feta and fresh herbs for a perfect quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Glaze

  • 1/3 cup hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Topping and Garnish

  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and almost cooked through.
  2. Sauté garlic: Reduce the heat slightly and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté it for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Add hot honey glaze: Stir in the hot honey and red pepper flakes (if using), allowing the mixture to bubble and thicken into a sticky glaze coating the chicken.
  4. Coat chicken with glaze: Return the chicken fully into the glaze and spoon the hot honey glaze over each piece, ensuring they are well coated and glossy.
  5. Finish with feta and herbs: Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or thyme. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for a richer flavor; adjust cooking time accordingly.
  • Reheat leftovers gently in a skillet to maintain the glaze without burning it.
  • For less spicy heat, omit the red pepper flakes or reduce the amount.
  • Use fresh herbs like basil or oregano as alternatives to parsley or thyme for different flavor profiles.
