Ingredients

Scale

Florida Orange Rolls

  • ½ cup Florida Orange Juice Marmalade
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • Refrigerated dough (enough to roll out to a long rectangle, approx. 1 lb dough)
  • ½ tsp kosher salt

Florida Orange Glaze

  • ¼ cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • A dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Roll out the refrigerated dough into a long rectangle to create the base for the rolls.
  2. Spread marmalade: Evenly spread ½ cup of Florida Orange Juice Marmalade over the rolled-out dough for a sweet citrus layer.
  3. Add butter and sugar: Pour ½ cup melted butter over the marmalade-covered dough, then sprinkle 1 cup brown sugar evenly across it, finishing with a sprinkle of ½ teaspoon kosher salt for balance.
  4. Roll and seal: Starting at the long edge farthest from you, tightly roll the dough toward you, making sure to keep it snug. Pinch the edges to seal the roll and prevent filling from leaking during baking.
  5. Slice the roll: Cut the rolled dough into 1 to 1 ½ inch thick slices to form individual rolls, then place them into buttered baking pans spaced evenly.
  6. Let rolls rise: Allow the rolls to rise for at least 20 minutes at room temperature to develop fluffiness.
  7. Preheat oven: While the rolls are rising, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake: Bake the rolls for 15 to 18 minutes or until they turn golden brown but not overly dark to ensure a tender crumb inside.
  9. Prepare the glaze: While rolls bake, mix ¼ cup Florida Orange Juice, 1 lb powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons melted butter, ¼ cup milk, and a dash of salt until smooth to create the Florida Orange Glaze.
  10. Glaze and serve: Immediately after removing the hot rolls from the oven, drizzle the glaze generously over them. Serve warm or at room temperature for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • To achieve a more pourable glaze, gradually add additional Florida Orange Juice until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Ensure not to overbake the rolls to maintain their soft texture.
  • You can substitute refrigerated dough with homemade sweet roll dough if preferred.
