Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Broth

  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tbsp Lola’s Hot Sauce

Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Ramen

  • 2 packs ramen noodles
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Lola’s Hot Sauce (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Mix chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly with this spice mixture and let them rest for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
  3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce simmer gently until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Cook the Ramen: Prepare the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles well and set aside.
  5. Prepare the Broth: Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until aromatic, about 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, Lola’s Hot Sauce, and heavy cream, stirring well. Allow the broth to simmer for 5 to 7 minutes to develop flavor.
  6. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly among serving bowls. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles, then top with sliced chicken. Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top for added richness.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions over the bowls and add a drizzle of Lola’s Hot Sauce if extra heat is desired. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your fiery chicken ramen.

Notes

  • For extra spice, feel free to increase the amount of Lola’s Hot Sauce in the broth or as a garnish.
  • Chicken thighs provide more juiciness, but chicken breasts can be used for a leaner option.
  • You can substitute vegetable oil with any neutral oil like canola or avocado oil.
  • The creamy garlic sauce can be made ahead and kept warm before serving.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce and ramen noodles.
