Meats and Cheeses
- 12 slices deli turkey
- 12 slices honey ham
- 3 slices Provolone cheese (cut into fourths)
- 3 slices Havarti cheese (cut into fourths)
Bread and Spreads
- 1 (12-pack) Original King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- Raspberry preserves (or strawberry preserves), heaping spoonfuls
Other Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Cooking spray (for the baking dish)
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Dish: Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a 9×13 glass baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble the Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to separate the tops and bottoms. Place the bottom halves evenly in the baking dish. On each bottom roll, layer one thin slice of turkey and one thin slice of ham. Add a piece of provolone and a piece of Havarti cheese on top of the meats. Then, spoon a heaping amount of raspberry preserves on top of the cheese. Finish by placing the top half of each roll atop the filling.
- Prepare the Butter Mixture and Brush: On the stovetop, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Stir in the sugar and whisk until the sugar dissolves completely. Using a brush, generously coat the top of each sandwich with the melted butter and sugar mixture, making sure to cover the entire surface.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 15 minutes while covered. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes to allow the tops to brown slightly.
- Finish and Serve: Once baked, remove the sliders from the oven and dust the tops lightly with powdered sugar. Serve the sliders warm for the best flavor experience.
Notes
- For a different fruit flavor, strawberry or apricot preserves can be used instead of raspberry.
- To add extra richness, you can add more slices of cheese before assembling.
- If you don’t have a 9×13 glass dish, any similar sized baking dish will work.
- Leftover sliders can be wrapped tightly and refrigerated for up to 2 days, and reheated in the oven for optimal texture.
- Be careful not to over-bake to prevent the rolls from becoming too dry.
