4.8 from 72 reviews

A refreshing and unique twist on the classic margarita combining the rich flavors of dark cherries, the sweetness of amaretto, and the crispness of cola for a delightful Cherry Coke Margarita.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 dark cherries (fresh or frozen and thawed)
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz amaretto
  • 1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
  • Chilled cola of choice (preferably Coke Zero)

Instructions

  1. Muddle Cherries and Lime Juice: Add the cherries and lime juice to a shaker and muddle them thoroughly into a pulp to release the cherry juices and combine with the lime’s tartness.
  2. Add Spirits and Ice: Pour in the amaretto and blanco tequila into the shaker. Add ice to chill the mixture properly.
  3. Shake the Cocktail: Shake the mixture vigorously for about 30 seconds to blend the flavors well and chill the drink.
  4. Strain Over Ice: Strain the mixed liquid into a glass filled with fresh ice cubes to keep the cocktail cold without diluting it immediately.
  5. Top with Cola and Serve: Gently top off the glass with your preferred chilled cola, stir lightly to combine, then serve and enjoy your Cherry Coke Margarita.

Notes

  • Using fresh or thawed frozen cherries ensures maximum flavor and ease of muddling.
  • Adjust the amount of cola to taste for sweetness and fizz.
  • Coke Zero is preferred for a low-calorie option without sacrificing flavor.
  • For a stronger cherry flavor, add an extra cherry or a splash of cherry liqueur.
  • Make sure to shake well to chill the spirits and blend all flavors perfectly.
