Ingredients

Scale

Big Mac Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quality mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish (or sweet pickle relish, omitting the sugar if used)
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons natural ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare your mixing bowl. Grab a medium-sized bowl with enough space to stir the ingredients easily without causing a mess.
  2. Add all the ingredients. In the bowl, combine the mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, finely minced onion, natural ketchup, yellow mustard, white vinegar, granulated sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  3. Mix thoroughly. Stir the ingredients well until the sauce is creamy and fully combined. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl to incorporate any ingredients stuck to the edges.
  4. Taste and adjust. Give the sauce a taste and adjust seasoning if needed — add more salt, relish, or a dash of hot sauce for an extra kick according to your preference.
  5. Refrigerate. Cover the sauce and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld. For best results, chill overnight.
  6. Serve and store. Use the sauce straight from the fridge to dress your burgers or sandwiches. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Using sweet pickle relish instead of dill pickle relish requires omitting the sugar in the recipe to balance sweetness.
  • For a spicier version, add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce during the adjustment step.
  • Make sure to refrigerate the sauce for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to fully develop.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to two weeks.
